FISHING CLUB
The Leisure Knoll Fishing Club is a group of energetic women and men who meet the first Monday of the month at 10:30 AM in Lakeside Lodge, unless the Monday is a Holiday-- it is moved to the following Monday. Read the Knoll News Fishing Article for any changes in meeting date or places.
Dues are $6.00 per year. Our fiscal year is October 1 to September 30th. We serve refreshments at our meetings. We also allow members to sell/swap their fishing gear.
Planned yearly events include:
- In Spring, we order fish to stock our lake. Officers place fish in the lake.
- In May on a Friday, we hold a Fish/Chicken Fry - 6PM with music & dancing. Fish & Chicken are cooked fresh on site and served table by table.
- In June, a Charter Fishing Trip ¾ day with only members/guests on board.
- The first Saturday after the 4th of July - Children's Fishing Tournament. This event is a big one for our community. Our Grandchildren are invited to fish the lake. We award prizes and trophies to the winners. After our morning fishing, we serve lunch to the attendees. We also have a caricature artist, which everyone loves. Our Chicken/Fish Fry helps cover costs of this event!
- In July or August, a Fireworks Observing Trip.
- In July, a Party Boat trip offering a 1/2 Day Fishing
- In August, a Charter Fishing Trip.
- At our December meeting, we will be having our Holiday Appreciation Brunch. Those who have paid their membership in advance of the December meeting will be eligible to win prizes at our Brunch.
We will be on our Winter Recess during the months of January & February. We will resume our regular meetings in March.
